About HOSPAZ
Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Zimbabwe (HOSPAZ) is a national membership body, registered in Zimbabwe in 1999 as a private voluntary organisation (PVO 13/99) for Palliative Care in Zimbabwe.
Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Zimbabwe (HOSPAZ) is a national membership body, registered in Zimbabwe in 1999 as a private voluntary organisation (PVO 13/99) for Palliative Care in Zimbabwe. HOSPAZ advances Palliative Care through advocacy, education, access to essential pain medicines, services development, research and member support ensuring quality of care for people with life threatening illness and their families across Zimbabwe.
HOSPAZ is supported by a highly skilled and experienced team, comprising health professionals and technical experts with extensive expertise in programme implementation, advocacy, communications, finance, monitoring and evaluation, and organisational management. The organisation is committed to delivering high-quality programmes that strengthen palliative care systems and improve access to quality care across Zimbabwe.
HOSPAZ continues to uphold strong governance, sound financial management, effective programme management, and robust monitoring and evaluation systems. Through ongoing organisational strengthening and continuous improvement, the Association maintains the institutional capacity required to implement its strategic priorities and effectively serve its members, partners, and communities.
HOSPAZ exists to ensure that no one in Zimbabwe faces serious illness without relief, dignity, and compassionate support.
